, b. 1961

Speedy Graphito, born in 1961, splits his time between Paris and Los Angeles. In the 1980s, he was a member of the stencil artist collective X-Moulinex and held his first gallery exhibition under the name "Speedy Graphito" in 1984. Introduced to painting at the age of nine, he grew up in an environment rich with references to artists like Vincent van Gogh, Maurice de Vlaminck, and Georges Rouault. He graduated from Estienne Art School in 1983 and committed himself fully to his artistic practice. Over a career spanning three decades, Speedy Graphito has honed his skills across a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. His international acclaim was solidified with his first major retrospective, "Un Art De Vivre," at the Touquet Museum in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, France. Speedy Graphito's work explores themes of globalization, art marketing, art history, and the omnipresence of images and collective memory. He emphasizes that while his artworks can be seen as products of conception, his creative spirit remains a wanderer—free and proud of its essence.
