Erik Jones earned his bachelor’s degree from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2007. Following graduation, Erik focused on cover illustration, touring the U.S. and showcasing his work at various pop culture and art conventions. In 2009, he made the move to Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides. His vibrant and colorful artwork exhibits a heightened sense of realism, particularly in his portrayals of female subjects. These figures are artfully juxtaposed with spontaneous mark-making and nonrepresentational forms that evoke the geometric elegance of high-end fashion. Erik achieves this striking effect through a diverse range of mediums, including watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, water-soluble wax pastel, and water-soluble oil on paper.
