, b. 1980

Dan Lane’s artwork boasts a contemporary, urban edge while being profoundly influenced by Renaissance art. He draws inspiration from the elaborate sculptures in churches and cathedrals, particularly the Baroque masterpieces of Italian sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini, as well as the works of Michelangelo and Antonio Canova. Nature also plays a significant role in Lane’s creations, with many pieces featuring flowers, insects, and birds. His original 3D sculptures showcase his experimentation with various materials, including crushed glass, gold and silver leaf, marble, bronze, and glass diamonds, combined with diverse colors, finishes, and textures.
