Bradley Theodore, a contemporary artist born in Turks and Caicos, embarked on his artistic journey in New York City and quickly gained international recognition. After completing his studies at the School of Visual Arts, he ventured into the tech and design industry. However, Theodore eventually returned to New York City, where his artistic career flourished. Initially rooted in graphic design, he began adorning the streets of the city with vibrant, chromatic murals depicting contemporary pop culture and fashion icons in skeletal form. Renowned for his vivid paintings and prints of fashion royalty, Bradley Theodore is a versatile artist who defies conventional boundaries. His unique artistic approach can be experienced worldwide, from massive 10-foot murals gracing the streets of New York, Tokyo, and Milan to highly sought-after solo exhibitions in London. Theodore's work evokes the universal language of color, skeletons, and celebrity, as he distills figures into skeletal forms, representing a profound confrontation he describes as "an act of living." Through his use of color, he expresses memory, emotion, and personal experiences. Theodore's portraits skillfully juxtapose the legendary and mortal qualities of modern and contemporary fashion icons, firmly establishing him as an integral figure in the art and fashion scene of New York City. Throughout his career, Bradley Theodore has engaged in collaborative projects with prominent artists and brands, including Moët, Rolls-Royce, and Moleskine. In 2016, he was appointed the official artist for the US Open, where his four captivating murals adorned the tournament's venue. Additionally, Theodore's artistic journey was documented in the independent film "Becoming: Bradley Theodore," which premiered at the esteemed Tribeca Film Festival. Recognizing his creative prowess, Google invited Theodore to participate in their Artist in Residence program (AiR) in 2017, enabling him to utilize their Tilt Brush tool and create art in an entirely new dimension, offering viewers an intimate experience of his creations. In 2018, Bradley Theodore commemorated the 50th anniversary of PUMA's Suede by designing a limited edition series of sneakers and garments. Building on this success, he launched a more extensive collection in early 2019, marking his second collaboration with PUMA. Currently, the artist resides and works in Miami, further expanding his artistic horizons.
